HVAC Control Engineer

Design, implement, and review control system designs and plans for large projects incorporating sequence of operation, integration and Energy/Building Managements Systems (EMS/BMS) via Lon Works or BACnet, and programming of PLCs. Commission, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC Control Systems to ensure proper installation and programming per plans and specifications. Run proprietary software tools to aid in the controls system design and interface with property owners, facility managers, building managers, controls integrators, and contractors on technical issues associated with controls network. Survey and analyze existing HVAC and control equipment to provide conversion plans for retrofit projects and also support the service department on PC-based, PLC-based, and BMS integrations issues. Generate and conduct technical training on controls network to customers, engineers, and internal departments (sales, service, operations, and marketing). Develop and maintain controls specifications, drawings and documentation to support control system designs, sales and support. Requires BS in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or closely related field, 5 years progressive experience and Alerton Systems Engineer certification.
